October 2008

The IQCS discussion forum has been updated and made more easily accessable. Everyone is welcome to join!!

Dear IQCS member. Thank you very much for your feed back on the discussion forum.
We’ve taken on board all your comments and suggestions and have re-designed the forum with you in mind.
You’ll notice that the forum is now more structured and more user-friendly, and hopefully will be easier to navigate.
We had to delete old topics; however, the important ones are saved. If you find some features that could be improved, please don't hesitate to tell us by posting a message to let us know what you’re missing.
You can register as many users as you like from your company...so please involve staff who you think would benefit-whether it’s looking for that elusive Dutch speaker, asking how other companies handle holiday pay, looking to sub-contract some fieldwork, or posing a research or operations based question.
The more the merrier! It’s there to for you to use.

Best wishes,

Penny Steele
IQCS Chairman

Please note that IQCS members (employees of member companies) have full access to the discussion forum (private and public area), non members only have access to the IQCS Public forum.

The IQCS invites members to participate in follow up survey.

As a result of the survey we conducted before the AGM last year about updating Standards, there are some areas where Council needs to clarify Members’ views.
The IQCS is therefore inviting members to participate in a follow up survey.
IQCS council will review standards according to members' answers and propose the new standard in one of the next working forums. Detailed information will be communicated in the next IQCS newsletter.

January 2008

New council members joined IQCS council.

Julia Kibblewhite resigned earlier in 2007 and Samantha Adby has stood down from Council in 2008.
We would like to thank Julia and Samantha for their contribution to our success over the years as Council members.
Linda Marsh (Facts International) and Nathalie Edwards (Ipsos MORI) are welcomed as newly-elected Council members.
More info to follow.

November 2007

The IQCS has launched its first standards survey.

For the last few years IQCS has been unable to change the standards, because of the tie-in to section 6 of the BS7911 standard.
With the substitution of BS7911 for ISO20252, the IQCS becomes a truly independent body once again, with the flexibility to review and revise its standards in order to keep them up-to-date, ensuring they reflect the latest working practices and technologies we use in our daily data-collection processes.
The IQCS has therefore invited members, as part of the consultation process to give feedback and input into the revision process.
The survey results will be presented at this year’s AGM.

The IQCS discussion forum celebrates its first year after the re-launch at the AGM.

Join our discussion forum, the place for Market Research Professionals to share questions, suggestions, and information about the industry. The Discussion Forum is easily accessible and registering is straight forward.
